Personalize Surfact Signal: °F or °C, Light or Dark Theme, Time Zone

Switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius, choose a light or dark theme, and learn how Surfact Signal picks your time zone and date format.

Two switches in the top-right corner let you set up Surfact Signal the way you like it. Your choice is remembered in your browser.

Fahrenheit or Celsius

Click the °F / °C button to switch every temperature in Signal: the device list, map, charts, alerts, readouts and reports. Alert limits are converted automatically, so an alert of 36–46 °F is the same alert as 2.2–7.8 °C.

Light or dark theme

Click the sun/moon button to switch between the light and dark theme. The map switches to a dark basemap too, which is easier on the eyes in a control room or at night.

Time zone and date format

Signal shows all times in your account's time zone. If your account has no time zone set, it uses your computer's time zone.

  • US time zones: temperatures start in °F and dates are shown as MM/DD/YYYY with AM/PM.

  • All other time zones (including Canada): temperatures start in °C and dates are shown as DD.MM.YYYY with a 24-hour clock.

You can always switch °F/°C yourself. To change your account's time zone, contact [email protected].
