Welcome to Surfact Signal: a Tour of the Dashboard

Surfact Signal is where you follow your Emma Smart Trackers: live temperature and location, alerts, device groups and route reports. Here's a quick tour of the six views.

Surfact Signal is your dashboard for Emma Smart Trackers. It shows where every device is, what temperature it is measuring right now, and whether anything needs your attention. Data refreshes every minute, so you never need to reload the page.

The top bar

Six views sit in the bar at the top of the screen. On the right you'll find Help, the °F/°C switch and the light/dark theme switch.

The Surfact Signal top bar with Map, Panel, Devices, Groups, Alerts and Reports

  • Map: all devices on a map, with the device list on the left. Click a device to see its temperature history and route.

  • Panel: every device as a card with its current temperature, battery and alert limits.

  • Devices: a table where you rename devices, edit descriptions, set alerts and download calibration certificates.

  • Groups: organize devices into groups and set one temperature alert for the whole group.

  • Alerts: every active temperature alert and the history of triggered alarms.

  • Reports: route reports, created automatically every time a route ends.

The device list

On the Map and Panel views, the list on the left shows all your devices with name, description, serial number, place and current temperature. The three tiles at the top (ALL, ROUTES and ALERT) filter the list with one click.
