Rename a device
Under the device menu you can rename devices and set alarms:
Click edit on the right.
Type the new name on the left — for example a registration number, trailer ID or location name.
Tip: use a consistent naming convention (e.g. vehicle registration numbers) so devices are easy to find with search and sorting.

Set a group-level alert
Configure a group alert to monitor an entire segment of your fleet simultaneously.
Specify the conditions — they apply to all devices within the selected group.
Click "create event" to activate the group alert and get comprehensive coverage across your operations.
Frequently asked questions
Why should I group my devices?
Groups make it faster to find devices, compare temperatures across a segment of your fleet, and manage alerts in one place instead of per device.
Can a group have its own temperature alert?
Yes — a group-level alert applies its conditions to every device in the group, and notifies the email recipients you choose.
Can I still set an alert on a single device?
Yes. Alerts can be set both individually per device and per group. See How to Set Up Temperature Alerts & Email Notifications in Surfact Signal.
